First off, lemme say that I actually wasn't planning on going.
It was this weekend, Friday - Saturday.
And actually, I had to work all weekend. However, on Saturday, I was released early, and I got a txt from Melvin saying I should totally go since there wasn't much for him to do there. So I agreed. I quickly ran home and threw on a half-assed Sasori cosplay (since I was tired as hell and rather lazy).
So anyway, I made it to the con and let me say... it was pretty fuckin' sad. lol
NOTHING was really going on that was worth much attention. So Mel and I wandered around until Kai eventually came along. Funny thing is... such a small con was $40 to enter, but we all waltzed into the dealer's room anyway; no ticket. It wasn't anything grand... No more than 15 stands or so. So we left to get food.
We hit Popeye's and Mel got into trouble for not wearing a shirt (he was Zabuza), so I stripped off my Akatsuki cloak and everyone was like WHUTTTTTTTT XD
It was pretty funny.
So once we got our Jesus-Chicken, we went back to the hotel, sitting in the courtyard just outside the Akatsuki Maid Cafe and chilled for a while as we ate. During the time, someone chucked a shitload of glow-bands from the upper levels and we went nuts trying to snag them all. After a while, we got wayyyyyyy too bored, so we decided to go for a walk.
We hit Magical Midway where people stared at Mel and I like O____o;;
We hit a tattoo parlor and looked at the different designs, saying which ones we should get and stuff, as well as laughing about some of the more interesting ones.
Then we moved on, Melvin looking for a pole to do a stunt on. I was sitting there like "Dude... I'd so dance on one to be a retard right now, but I don't wanna be honked at right now..." All of a sudden HONK!!!! I was like wtf are you serious??? Kailey and Melvin just cracked up laughing.
Then we continued to walk when all of a sudden, a police helicopter showed up in the sky, many cop cars also showing up in the area. I had gotten on of those very odd, uncomfortable feeings as cops stationed themselves all around the area. But being with Mel and Kai, I felt a bit safer. We felt it'd be good to head back, so we turned around. Along the way, we saw more police, some on horses, which Kai and I couldn't stop staring at. Melvin had to pull us away to keep us moving.
Eventually, we made it back and found out that apparently a man was running around with a gun, and that they were put under lockdown... At first, we wondered if it had anything to do with the Nerf Gun war that was going on throughout the day, but no... There went my bad feeling...
We sat in the hallway with and for a while, just talking and relaxing until we decided to head home for the night.

Then on Sunday, I woke up to get ready for work, when they called me saying it wasn't necessary to come in. So, it left me with a free day. I decided to head back to ZonaCon, this time in a real cosplay. lol
I went as Prince Belphegor, and met up with Melvin who was Prussia (Hetalia). We were going to wait for Andrea to arrive with whoever she was going to come along with. In the meantime, we signed up for the Cosplay Contest. Once Andrea arrived, we headed inside and took a seat to wait for our names to be called. Of course, Daddy and Baby Jiraiya won, which we all hoped they would cuz baby Jiraiya was too damn adorable. Once it was over, and the rest of us hit Pizza Hut for some lunch, trying to convince Kai to come over. Once everything was done, we headed back to the con, where everything was pretty much being shut down early. We all went into one of the empty rooms which another group of people and played games like "Ninja" and... some other game which involved us hauling ass around the room.
Eventually, lil' Jiraiya came in and asked everyone for hugs, which was just sjfdhgdkzjgndsgkj adorable. Lil' Jiraiya then wanted to dance, so they played the Caramelldansen (which quite honestly is getting super annoying, but it was amazing with Lil' Jiraiya). Everyone got into a circle around him and danced away.
Eventually, we got kicked out of the room, leaving us with nothing to really do. Some went their seperate ways, while others joined us at the pool bar, where Kailey met up with us. We all moved around a bit, trying to find a good place to chill. We drew and talked about random shit for lol's until everyone had to leave.
Mel, Kai, and I didn't wanna go home yet, so we hit Magical Midway again for some DDR and sno-cones.

So, all-in-all... The con was rather shitty... But being there with awesome people makes it soooo much better :3
